Our Spray Foam Solution

To balance preservation and performance, our team used two types of spray foam insulation.

We installed closed-cell spray foam in the wall cavities, covering the wood wall studs to create a strong air and moisture barrier while keeping the wood framing clean and protected.

For the roof and garage ceiling areas, we applied open-cell spray foam. Open-cell foam provides excellent air sealing and helps regulate temperature while allowing the structure to maintain its natural look.

This combination allowed the owner to preserve the barn’s historic character while dramatically improving insulation and comfort.
